Nasaad ko na ang problema ng bayan ay moral, kaya’t lahat ng problema ay na-uugnay rito sa moral, koruption, pork barrel at politikal dynasty. Pinahirapan ang sino man na baguhan na kandidato na mamulitika. Nabangit ang template kung saan mailagay mo ang listahan ng kandidato sa first column at sa mga sumusunod na column ay ang mga ibat-ibang issue na importante sa iyo katulad ng kagutuman, poverty, walang trabaho at iba pa at kusa kayong magbigay ng grado sa kandidato na humaharap sa bayan . I have to agree that good governance is a key issue that needs to be tapped and addressed. However, the platforms regarding economic development should not be forgotten.
Morality without sound investment and budget allocation decisions will never really solve the problem (poverty). Think about it, if ever you are put into the position and already finished your term as a senator, where do you want the Philippines to be situated? What specific sectors should you invest on more in order to realize your goal? Are you willing to sacrifice efficiency just to have equality?
An individual’s conscience, values, and morale ought to be the priority of certain institutions (Church, Schools, Family) and not by government leaders because such sectors only encompass minority of the government’s role.
As a voter who dreams big for the Philippines, I am looking for concrete platforms addressing:
1.) Education
2.) Unemployment
3.) Population Control
4.) National Food Security
5.) Agriculture
Well, that’s just me. Morality, though very necessary, is very hard to observe and measure. After all, every political party/politician is emphasizing on it. Address it but focus more on effective and feasible projects that will solve problems on the topics i mentioned above.:)
