Dear Relatives, Friends, and fellow Filipinos,
On page A6 of the Philippine Daily Inquirer last Saturday, May 1, 2010, Kristine L. Alave wrote, “JC de los Reyes is top bet in bishops’ scorecard.”
“According to the CBCP, Ang Kapatiran presidential hopeful Juan Carlos de los Reyes is the candidate most in tune with issues and policies that the Church considers weighty.”
In addition, “The candidates were judged based on their positions on such issues as reproductive health, death penalty, gun ban in public places, political dynasties, transparency in government, transactions, and pork barrel.”
Based on the 13 issues presented by the CBCP to the candidates, only De los Reyes got the perfect score.

As the only Protestant among the nine (9) national candidates of the Ang Kapatiran Party, I would have scored the same as JC de los Reyes because all of us AKP candidates and members have the same stand on the issues presented.
Right now, the top four presidential candidates in the surveys carry heavy pieces of baggage that make them unfit to become the next Philippine President. They were all part of the traditional politicians who have brought us to where we are now.
In the months of campaigning with JC de los Reyes, I have known him to be a godly person who loves very much our country and our fellow Filipinos. He is a brave person who fought for his principles, against the anomalies in Olongapo, and in the process displeased even the immediate members of his family.
If you have any doubts, trust the judgment of the bishops.
To put a stop to our sufferings, I urge you to vote for JC de los Reyes and all of us candidates of the Ang Kapatiran Party.
